players that are willing to market themselves will eventually get
serious about competing in all three brackets, and maintain the highest
possible ratings. For someone like Neilyo I never understood why would
he bother selling points for measly gold when he should be maintaining
a top notch armory to make his fans feel good, and his sponsors happy.
Gold is easy to make and in the end meaningless compared to the
attention you can bring to yourself with high armory ratings. Serennia
put himself on the map by holding the 1st spot of BG9 in all three
brackets, and from there he became a magnet for attentions, eventually
got himself offers from MOB and SK. RL gold or in-game gold? It is an
easy choice.
The tournament scene is going to heat up
eventually, and the invitational-only format will eventually die out.
All future tournaments should have very strict rating requirements, so
we don't see out-of-shape players falling off bridges in matches that
looked worse than 1850 games at times. For anyone who doesn't have a
sponsor, it is time to put yourself on SK100 as it will be the
equivalent of SAT scores for college admissions. No it is not
everything, but it matters. You won't find terrible players on SK100,
just like you won't find idiots who can score top 1% in SAT.
Fortunately,
it seems Neilyo is finally serious about his 5v5 with the upcoming BG9 tournaments, and he took a page from European rogue heroes like ZOM and Adrassill with the rogue/druid 3DPS team. Yes, there
is a top 10 rogue 3DPS team in BG9 after just the second night of Neilyo & crew playing the comp seriously, BG9 is months behind the European
BGs on this one. In fact, Neilyo's team is within single digit
of Inactive-chan's CAPSLOCKCREW in ratings. Despite Inactive-chan's belief that training a warlock is "never gonna work in BG9", his very own team fell to the European rogue comp/style and they were never even close to scoring a kill. Some may say they looked worse than the European teams they trashed on the forums. Keep in mind Neilyo's team are still nowhere near as good as the best European teams that have ran the comp for months, I expect them to completely rip apart 2345 and 2346 once they smooth out the rough edges.
Stream: http://www.sk-gaming.com/video/1740-SK_vs_CLCAG_POV_Neilyo
Direct Download: http://www.sk-gaming.com/file/6184
The rogue 3DPS team is very easy to play
at lower ratings. You can play it exactly like a 4DPS team and hit 2000
by zerging the warrior no problem. Your offense is just as good as a
true 4DPS team's (especially if you use shaman over druid at final
slot) thanks to priest's mana burn spams and your survivability is so
much better. Once you get to higher ratings you do have to work out
proper CC rotations but with so much control you really don't have to
target swap much at all. When you are playing a rogue team it takes
time to build the 5 wound stacks, target swapping is generally not
needed unless there is a wide open target. It is a very different playing
style than 2345 and 2346. CC rotations is much more important than
targeting swapping and ultimately offers a higher skill cap as it
demands much more from individual players.
Like many others of
the WOW community, I have been deeply concerned about Inactive-chan's
mental health since CLC started its recent struggles. At first I
thought I was merely seeing a child holding onto his most precious toy
and shedding a few extra tears when it is no longer shiny. But Jasi-san
recently mentioned in one of his comments "Inactive-chan at age 16
probably had to go through more than most of you at age 25!" Knowing
Jasi won't spill any secrets I had to do my own investigations.
I
will eventually have a full article on Inactive-chan's story. Given
WOM's professional journalism I do careful research before I release
anyone's personal stories. However, with just the bits and pieces I
have gathered, from the bottom of my heart, I wish Inactive-chan a very
happy Chinese New Year and hopefully, he will find peace and harmony as
his traumatic childhood fades into distant memory. Inactive-chan, rage
and toughness can't hide the pain and tenderness you have inside. We
all love you and care for you and once I obtain all the pieces, I will
share your story with the world. I believe your fans will all give
their support and blessing to you and your family.
PVE vs PVP:
Seems like to get any of the T6 quality loot (even the new engineering helmet) you have to raid Sunwell for recipes. The gap between raiders and non-raiders is really going to get out of control in this one. The new 4S3 + 4T6 is also going to be extremely nasty. The two classes that benefit most are holy paladins and shadowstep rogues and I am not sure if I can truly compete when the time comes. Of course so far all the contents are PVE only, I am hoping we will see PVP changes soon.

Its not about liking one person or another. Its the same thing as websites that offer celebrity bio's. It is about attracting the most people (haters or otherwise) to the site for the most revenue. That is all.

HAH! Because after the Vurtne story we're supposed to assume you have any journalistic integrity, amirite Ming? Hell, you've spewed more baseless lies over the last year than I can count. I'm beginning to wonder if you're the biggest troll to ever grace WoW, and sitting back cackling as we all rage over this ****.

Your Vurtne post already sucked, even though it was funny to learn later you wrote it because your e-girlfriend was in fact stalking that guy. So it was possible to blame it on jealousy.
But that would be a new low even for you to make a blog about someone's childhood. So I have to agree with "be worse please, you're bad and nobody likes you." and will make sure never to click on your worthless blog ever again if you do so, there is better drama around anyway (Europe>USA btw).
And yes, US-Badlust discovers all comps 6 months later than other BGs, nothing new here.

One could wonder what Estel sees in ming, given the fact that he is ugly and mentally retarded. The vurtne drama actually cleared that up. She has a fetisch for guys that are e-famous. You think that will last ming? She is the kind of girl who would go out with older men just because they're rich. Think about that the next time you write about how much you love each other.

I'll preface this by pointing out that I do like you to a certain extent outside of your blogging persona, but it's time to say a couple things.
"Given
WOM's professional journalism I do careful research before I release
anyone's personal stories."
I won't comment about WoM's "professional journalism" in general, but in this case RELEASING SOMEONE'S PERSONAL INFORMATION WITHOUT GETTING DIRECT PERMISSION FROM THEM IS A ******* D0UCHEBAG MOVE AND SOOOO FAR FROM PROFESSIONAL THAT THIS STATEMENT MAKES ME WANT TO PUNCH YOU IRL.
"Inactive-chan, rage

Don't pretend posting this is going to be some altruistic gift, you KNOW Inactive doesn't want people to hear his personal information or we would have already. Fake naivety isn't going to work this time, you seriously need to ask yourself whether or not hurting another player is worth more comments on your Gameriot resume. Especially considering how wrong your Vurtne story was, this article you're hinting at is seriously the worst idea ever.
Gameriot seriously needs to reconsider your contract if this is the type of "journalism" we're going to see in the future. You need to learn to separate real life from this video game. More importantly, you need to learn to respect the wishes of other people who are trying to do the same.

Despite a coule extra hits, releasing a story of his childhood would bring you down a great deal of notches as a human being. Information like that shouldn't be shared without the consent of the person who it concerns, and doing otherwise is a very, very under handed move.

The truth is Ming, releasing such stories without permission is a total lack of respect, and could actually deprive Inactive in future of a more normal online "life" just like how celebrities in most cases can't live a normal life. Not to mention its a selfish act just for your blog of total penispump value, and probably hoping to grab a higher level of e-fame or to shed the light on us "lesser" (rofl) rogues/players and show how one has to be. Yes, I said this blog has little value, so why do I read it? For me its entertainment because of the level of retardism thats generally here, but doing such a news article is going a tad bit too far.
"RL gold or in-game gold? It is an
easy choice."
Just like spilling out someone's personal history and details I guess. Give info for more blog hits or keep it for myself? Its an easy choice. If you're not a retard. Also, you gathering info on him sounds pretty scary to be honest, stalk much? You need more time with your gf, keeps people off of the bad things like this.

@Ming: Why would anybody want to correct your false stories? It just promotes posts in your blogs which is exactly what you want especially if they actually give information about what actually happened in their life to refute your false, misinformed stories.
There is are a few people who know anything about my life: Hammura, Crysalid, Elessarz, Lickerz and Jasi (Jasi knows little compared to others). That's it, so good luck and I definitely won't be posting again to refute anything because it's false and all you're trying to do is gain hits and to get me to refute your argument and/or get me raged.
As for all the recent PvE Videos, I could careless since they are extremely bias and there are so many factors on an online ladder. Thanks for all the practice and getting us ready for the up and coming tournament though

It will be difficult to find out personal information? Well, at least in the absence of facts, there is always the next best thing: blatant lies and speculation.
.
What I'm actually most interested in is when Ming will finally shoot himself in the foot with this e-drama ****. COULD THIS BE THE STORY THAT DOES IT??? TUNE IN NEXT WEEK, SAME MING-TIME, SAME MING-CHANNEL!!!

We've just started to get the real patch notes and item information, and potentially all the fun theorycraft and speculation that goes with it... and Ming-bozu goes for the hook on player gossip? I think that pretty much sums up the level of professionalism here.

Look mate, the difference is that there is a huge mass of weak-willed, unthinking people who LOVE celebrity gossip and just make the biggest deal out of it; however pretty much no one likes when you try to emulate that tripe in such a feeble manner. There is a large (however unfortunate) market for celebrity gossip, but the only reason you seem to "get more hits" is because people feel the need to tell you to stop doing it.

There's two basic definitions of professional. The first is basically the ability to make a significant amount of profit from a specific endeavor, as you have pointed out so articulately. The second definition is what people are referencing when they talk about professionalism (and the one that Ming invokes in this blog). Here, "professional" is not about money but about a standard of excellence in business.
Associating that second definition with this article is what I am a little wary of.

you keep advocation about how the best players should promote them selfs, get contracts and sponsors. But why on earth would they want that when they see how you treat those e-famous ppl in this blog. It's sad, but the truth is that you do have a large audience. When you have a big podium to talk from then you are also expected to abide to some of the rules of professional media if you want to be taken serious.
Another thing is that you cant compare e-celebs and rl celebs. E-celebs are famous for their ingame persona, not their personal life. Inactive may or may not have had troubled childhood, but he is not Britney Spears. He is just better than you in a game and is making money from it through sponsors. I'm pretty sure he never asked for or wants this kind of spotlight on him, respect of peoples personal life is alpha-omega. If you don't have a damn good reason you as a blogwriter have no right to talk about peoples personal life. If you where even half smart and decent you would know this.
His personal life has nothing to do with gameriot, it has nothing to do with how he playes, how he nerdrages on vent, how he got his sponsors or that he can play several classes on a worldclass level.
If you want to keep World of Ming a professional blog, then stick to what its all about. The ******* game and how the players play it. Not a trash talking sorry ass excuse to get more hits and elongate your smallass asian E-pecker.
