And why do 99% of them have some sort of incredible drama, baggage, or asterisks surrounding them? As with anything else, there are exceptions to this, but Jesus Christ I've witnessed some pretty stupid events lately involving female players.
To give you an idea, many raiding guilds even have strict no-female policies in their recruitment guidelines. VANQUISH, a previous guild I was in, specifically states:
"***Due to our history and experience we've had with female gamers, we currently do not recruit players that lack a penis. This can be taken another way but in this case, we mean literally lack thereof. Some of you may think this is sexist, but you have to understand, when you put a female in an organization with a bunch of sex deprived World of Warcraft nerds, their hormones get the best of them. Women in World of Warcraft guilds cause more drama than 'TNT' and this is a no-drama organization.***"
My current guild, Drama, also has a similar policy:
"Females need not apply because penis > ****** when it comes to gaming. Plus we don't tolerate drama, as ironic as it may sound."
Several of my guildmates were originally from Magtheridon server (Pain Train, Genesis, and All That Remains) and the amount of stories I've heard surrounding female drama from that server is beyond amazing. The four people mentioned in particular included Kiala, Krystaria, Julie, and Laney. I've heard extremely hilarious renditions of what they did, ranging from server transferring with a guy one of them cybered with only to be eDumped later on when he moved on to better things, to one of them getting pregnant with a guild member and the guild collapsing as a result. These could be slightly inaccurate so if you have the full version, please feel free to share.
The main foundation behind this article, however, was a priest I met on WotLK beta that expressed interest in applying to our guild. It turns out she was a female, which didn't really make a difference as she had expressed that she was very skilled at raiding. I brought her in to an interview with our officers, everything checked out and she transferred without a hitch. Or so I thought. The next day, the Korgath server forums are filled with drama posts surrounding her, her colorful online past that involved her travelling across the country to hook up with a guildmate and getting state police involved, and what her motives and possible future intentions were. Needless to say, it was probably the worst start that she could have got off on.Â
Who cares about forum drama though if she's skilled, though, right? Well, when she applied to the guild, it was under the circumstances that she accepted that she would be mostly backup and only come in for certain fights or if people were missing. Well, one of those fights is Felmyst. So the first week she's here, we bring her in on Felmyst (priests are needed for this fight for mass dispel) and she dies about 9 times across two attempts. She wasn't needed the following week and now this week, once again, we needed a priest, so I suggested on vent to get her in. She comes in and completely embarasses herself and me (for somewhat recruiting her off beta). Not only did she get mind controlled for bathing in the gas once, but also disconnected twice, and died another two times while online (died, soulstoned, died). I mean, honestly, I could probably 2-box a priest on a nintendo and played better than she did.

That said, what is it with WoW and female gamers that makes so many of them completely psychotic? In EverQuest, all the females I played with were pretty chill and no one really ever gave them special attention. In Dark Age of Camelot and Shadowbane, it was more of the same except with the occasional RP weddings and crap in DAoC but for the most part, everything stayed PG-13. Star Wars Galaxies was probably the first notable game where I noticed females really whoring themselves out for online action mostly from what I believed to be just the nature of the game (they required fighters to visit cantinas to watch dancers and listen to musicians in order to "heal" fatigue and wounds). WoW has pretty much taken this to a whole new level, though.
On the flip side, however, there are many females out there in WoW that truly just play to play and genuinely don't have any strings attached. Some of them I'm sure you've heard of; others maybe not so much. Which leads me to the goal of my next article here.
I'm asking for anyone that reads this to help me out. I want to write an article that explores both sides of the female WoW spectrum. I'd like readers to private message me anything you know extensive information about regarding females that you know whom are very cool, chill, or skilled individuals. Ones that don't care about loot, don't care about attention, and most importantly, don't care about drama. Ones that are exceptional at arena and PvP are also very interesting to cover. The more information, the better; pictures especially!
On the other hand, I'd also like readers to send information in that exposes every raunchy girl that you've met or even associated with in this game. Every terrible female player that got privledges because she had a vag. Every girl that couldn't resist sucking off her local guild master for special benefits. Every girl that had some obsessive compulsive disorder or even the pathological liars. If you have dirt, I wanna hear it. If it's interesting and/or funny, I'll write about it in my next article. Pictures will help immensely as I'm sure you know the attention span of the average Gameriot reader is rivaled by most gold fish.
All information will be kept anonymous unless you want to be cited for some odd reason. That being said, I know a lot of you have many stories from your local server females to tell me about, so if you think it's post-worthy, private message me here on Gameriot and I'll see if it's good enough to fit in the next article. I've been making a lot of money off of rating selling so if one send-in happens to be amazingly good, I'll reward you with triple digit greens. Until then~

Seriously any female who talks and doesn't already have a boyfriend (sometimes even if they do!) will flirt and get into e-lationships. Then drama bomb.
As a "older" player, I find some irony in the fact that I looked forward to reading about you just to see what childish drama was going on around you. From your temper tantrums in vent, to your constant "me great, you suck" dueling.
You know the difference between you and a female Wow player? ..........................Lipstick!
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL
o yea they are plenty of chill egirls out there, you're just a dumb****!Â
still mad mrbada55 ? =(
oh yeah she absolutely adores you serennia!
btw, please next time try harder before you make up stuff!
1. Girls want attention.
2. Some girls aren't attractive enough to get enough attention in social environments like parties, bars, events, et cetera.
3. Those girls spend more time on the computer, where it's much more easy to get attention because all we see are their avatars.Â
4. Something like this ensues
I find all this to be interesting. *shrug*.
*gets shot*
Could you maybe post it a little earlier so I can sleep at a normal time? Thanks.
Write some decent **** instead of constant trash, you make jasi sound like Shakespeare.
