I managed to get home just in time (as well as fix my computer that for some reason decided to stop powering up) to see everything but the first match between Pandemic and Mob:Turtlepower. For those who don't know, Pandemic entered the tournament with the standard Rogue/Mage/Priest combo that they practically wrote the book on, and it was widely thought that they would sweep the tournament without any real speedbumps in the road towards 45k. Little did they know that with the addition of Hamchook to Mob, they would be in for a surprise come the second round of the tournament. It seems like the "Godfather" made a wise decision in picking him up, and honestly, you can't argue with results.… More

My character improved more over the last 24 hours than the previous 48 days combined. Like everyone else who saved 75000 honor and 5000 arena points, 11/27 may as well be called a Christmas of its own. Not only I picked up full S3 honor gear, I also took it a step further to re-gem all my old S2 pieces with pure AP gems. The result has been mind blowing. I absolutely positively love the damage I am capable of, without sacrificing much survivability at all. Nothing like finally having a character fine tuned for the rushdown style.… More

It all came down to the very final moments of Season 2, and thankfully, my teammates and I were able to pull off what seemed to be an impossible 21st place 5v5 finish with an overall rating of 2440. With what was at first thought to be only a 2-4 point spread between 18th and 23rd place(the cutoff for Gladiator), it appears that there might have been a slightly higher buffer for us as a couple of teams were apparently DQ'ed. However, it also seems that much like the end of season 1, there are … More

If there is one thing every BG had in common for season 2, it was the way merciless gladiator titles were determined this season. It is unfortunate that the most sacred titles in arena play (outside of tournaments) were ruined by people who were at the top of their BGs to begin with. I guess if you don't win trade, you can't compete for first place finish with 3v3 teams rated at 3000.
I personally leveled three gladiator 2v2 teams myself over the last week, then again I am not even sure … More

After only forming our 5v5 about 4-5 weeks ago with hopes of finally having a strong team capable of reaching Gladiator range, we now sit within 40~ points from our goal of 2450. Our run has definitely been an interesting one, and I can't begin to tell you how hilarious it is when we're one win from our goal only to have comcast strike again and drop me from the game. After going up 2 games to 1 against Go Go power RNGers (Hi Errelnoh) and seemingly ahead in the 4th match, I got a la… More

The very last WSVG was without a doubt the worst event in franchise history, and it wasn't surprising when the show itself was canceled shortly after. Among other things, the Toronto Screw Job when Hamchook's Yea We Lift, having already won the series a day earlier, was forced into a rematch against MOB Turtle Power using bear as a pet instead of scorpid. It will remain a tainted spot in WOW's short history as an e-sport.
This is why I was surprised, yet delighted when MOB Godfather himself… More

The Arena has been arguably dead since the demise of WSVG this past summer. While there has been some competition (usually just to ensue drama, bragging rights, and gold), most of the "top" teams have been much more concerned of generating the highest amount of income while the thought of true contention has been stored in some random part of the brain along with the fleeting concern of future WoW E-sports. Yep, no one really cares anymore.
The concept of future tournaments h… More

With Tichondrius locked from transfers, it is safe to say the BG9 hype will cool off significantly. Once you take Tich out of the equation, BG9 is just like any other battlegroup, except if you are playing on any server other than Tich you put yourself at a significant disadvantage, not to mention chances are your friends are already on Tich. Needless to say I won't be leaving Blackdragon Flight any time soon now pretty much everyone canceled their plans to transfer to BG9. I think this is … More

The patch notes for 2.3.2 are out, and it looks like Rogue/Mage/Priest will become an insanely dominant setup in season 3, even more-so than originally expected.
Mages
-Ice Block (Frost) is now available on the trainer to all mages at level 30.
-Icy
Veins (NEW Frost Talent) decreases casting time of all spells by 20%
and increases the chance your chilling effects will freeze the target
by 25%. Lasts 20 sec. 3 min cooldown. It is now in the Cold Snap
position in the talent tree.

She may not have 12 stamina gems for eyes, may even be a weebit on the chubby side but Hafu-chan did the entire WOW community a big favor taking 100+ points away from Serennia, ending his reign of triple 1st places in BG9. Of course, many Americanized Asian girls have a thing for emo white guys who sound very aggressive on vent, so it didn't take long before Serennia convinced her that yes, they are meant to be together.
