Well, we have 3 players that are good by community standards.  One that is quite bad.  And a fifth that we haven't been able to practice with yet because of schedule issues.

The XFX tourny that we entered is in 6 days and we are not even close to being ready.  I am wondering wether I should kick the newest addition (the player that is quite bad) and then continue on after the tournament without him.

I could teach him, but we have digitallife comming up as well and when one player can cost a match it is very discouraging.  Especially when hes bran new to the game.  Like...to put it into perspective he has never played de-maps.

I came down here to start a life, and to be honest I can't have someone like this holding back a simple success.  It is discouraging though however considering he is a nice guy and everyone gets along with him really well.  Which all teammates should have.  But when it comes to skill I could find a dozen people that could outperform him in a second.  But then comes the question of chemistry.

I told myself after bootcamping this weekend and seeing how bad the communication and skill really was that I would see how he performs at the LAN event and base the decision off of his performance.  And if he pulls his own weight then I may consider just putting hi through an extensive bootcamping and try my best to get him up to speed.

But then comes another problem if that happens, I am looking for a job (writing albeit) and its proving rather difficult considering my age and the fact most people don't like the way I do things.  Which is understandable but only to a point.

And if I do end up getting one of the 3 positions I have applied for then I wont have time to bootcamp with him how I would like, that is even if he performs at the LAN.

The rest of the team just looks at me and says solve the problem its yours, which of course it is mine.  And I will eventually solve it.  But I don't want to make a crucial mistake so early in this 'adventure' as many people keep refering to this as.

I recently picked up a GoW (gears of war) team that placed 6th at the CPL this weekend.  But then they found out I woulnd't be able to fly them around the world and then they are quitting unless I can convince them to stay.  Which will most likely not happen (convince them I mean)

Bills and payments haven't been a problem but they will be in due time if I do not get some sort of steady income, because relying on tournament winnings and trying to get reliable sponsors when you don't even have a solid 5 is pretty much impossible.

All in all this week will be an interesting one to say the least, with one person on the verge of being let go, and another I haven't even seen play its looking as though XFX is pretty much 'In The Mist'  ironically that is my teams name.

But I do have faith in our 4 other playrs (even if I haven't seen the fifth play)

his experience is pretty impressive for someone that isn't known well.

And the other 3 (including myself) could possibly pull off a couple wins to impress some people and maybe get the ball rolling with this team.

Sadly only time will tell, and then the fact that the applications I sent yesterday I would think I would hear back from them around the same time as we end up playing in XFX this weekend (8-9 Sep).  So, either I can have a fantastic miracle week or a rather terrible week and everything will fall apart and I will be at square one again like my first day here.

I am off to go do some work, stay tuned as there will be more news to come later this week.
