sup.
Got a request to write this, so here you go.
The addons:
1. Gladius. New proximo, but better.
Why better? Well, one of the biggest things is that stealthed units is targetable when they pop even though you are in combat. Also has a nice pvptrinket view, so you can see who used their PVPtrinket and their CD on it.
Also a good "aura" check - shows who of them are CCd and how long in a good way.
Also shows important suff like heroism and iceblock on the in a good fasion.

Â
Download right away, http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/gladius.aspx2. Aloft. Nameplate enhancing addon.
Extremly good nameplate enhancement addon for 5o5 with 3 x tree pets, mirror images, hunter pets, gargoyles flying around etc targeting a gnome can be annoying. In the standard UI you can remove the option to show mirror images and pets etc but I still find the standard nameplates a bit lackluster. They are fine for 2o2 and even 3o3 but in 5s it can become a bit annoying.
Therefore: ALOFT!
Shows the classicon next to the bar, and everything can be color coded and setup exactly as you want it. Also got threatbars if you're a pve-geek and **** like that. Very good for seeing what classes you're facing RIGHT AWAY in arena, since the nameplates appears to have longer range in arena.
See exmple below:

Try it out at least. http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info10864-AloftBeta.html
3. Spellalerter
Awesome awesome awesome. Kollektiv the shaman made this i belive. This **** is pro.

Â
Gogo dl.http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info8221-SpellAlerter.html
Download it from WOWINTERFACE, more recently updated there.
4. The pro keybind of doom
Apperntly not so many people know about this, even though they tab target all the ******* time. This makes your Tab only switch between Enemy PLAYERS, not snakes or mirror images or treelols or what ever. Much better, most of the time.

Â
Â
all for now. Good luck.

the tab thing is nice, but you should still have the other tab option bound to something so you don't have to constantly switch for PvE. Also I've still needed it to fear warlock/DK pets, or kill pets.

/target Ebon Gargoyle
/cast Turn Evil
/targetlasttarget
or something, dont remeber how to write it proper but you get my idea. But i agree, not everyone should do this, mostly zerging meleers i guess.

many people forget to Bind Ctrl + space and Shift + Space, two very nice binds imo!

problem is i tend to hold down shift alot rather than just hitting shift-whatever, i used to roll my bars all the ******* time before i unbinded it. might give it a go though, could also get a mouse with more buttons cause i only have 3 atm

"agree, gonna need 3 hands for the next expansion"
That would be true if the next expansion were every class not wielding sniper rifles with 1 button 1 shot kills.

/targetenemyplayer is for the win, but you need some additions to use it properly.
for example, mouseover+normal+focus macros for fearing/banishing pets:
/cast [mod,target=focus]Banish;[target=mouseover,harm]Banish;Banish
/stopmacro [target=focus,exists,nodead]
/focus [target=mouseover,harm]
make same macro for fear and coex, all of them are very useful in mouseover mode, and they will focus your mouseover target on 1st cast if your focus is empy/dead , so you can use modifier after.

Nice setup on aloft, it seems like your nameplates can overlap, i hate the fact that standard cant overlap and when people are jumping they are jumping from side to side trying to find a space so it doesnt overlap.
Is there a feature in aloft that allow overlapping?
I wonder if you guys setup much in your spellalerter? I run with standard settings in it myself :S

personally i add a lot of spells to spellalerter
must haves -
stealth
prowl
vanish
invisibility
if you don't use an interrupt mod
kick/pummel/cs/etc.

For the class icons go to:
/aloft waterfall -> Modules -> Enable AloftClassIcon
/aloft waterfall -> Modules -> Enable AloftClassIcon

yeps thanks, i figured out the whole "modules" section which had move lovely stuff.. but the overlapping thing only seem to work on friendly plates not hostile :/ which kinda sucks!

Proximo has been able to target Stealthed players ever since the 3.0 came out on PTR, and it was done before Gladius had done it ;D

did not know this, I must have used an old version. Still i think Gladius is better if you look at the rest of the stuff.

Proximo has all that stuff now, but I still use Gladius regardless, cleaner interface.

never liked aloft, it just looks kinda messy and the functions never seemed particularly useful if you have the right keybinds. Gladius is amazing though.
