WoW Player Class Awards

Note: This is mostly a US based list because I don't live in Europe or Korea so my experiences with either regions is extremely limited.

Heaviest rushdown - Enforcer
Back in the day SK US was in full force and Enforcer was the rogue on the team. He was known then and now as being king when it came to the rushdown and he did it with precise execution. My biggest fear was always his and Pookz's opener on me because it always led to my health bar going from 100% to 0% before t…  More
Have to say the double elimination format was a great, great break from these round robin days. MLG needs to understand that even the most faithful viewers can only watch so much WOW, and the double elimination format adds a certain element of surprise similar to the one-shot-you-are-out-deal of World Cup.  In every tournament, half the teams out there are just not interesting to watch, and we really don't want to see them against every top dog or even against each other for that matter.  Double elimination gives every team a second chance, without dragging it out too much.  I understand the sponsors need their teams to be in the spot light, but give the audience a break please!  …  More

Team Dignitas vs Complexity.Red (RMP vs MLD): 1-3

Round 1 on dalaran arena. Dignitas opens on Venruki, a very unconventional choice against a wizard cleave consisting of MLD. Complexity.Red starts working on Hydra, most likely just trying to outlast the game until the rogue's cooldowns are gone. Venruki is forced to ice block and Kalimist is forced to cloak of shadows while Sodah is eatin…  More

There is quite a rock-paper-scissors game going within brackets, at least one team feels confident against another and no team seems to be expected to take it all- except, of course, the Koreans :)

Arterian's Lucky Night

I am very grateful to everyone that has pitched in for me to keep blogging. Ming has his crazy ideas and I love being the first one to hop on the saddle and take them for a spin. In case you're curious, I got roughly $20, which was actually more than I thought I was going to receive, heh. I know I am the most flamed writer at the moment and the rage that fuels the fire stays strong, so I really appreciate every…  More

Update: Nerdstomper MLG Raleigh Live Stream is Up!
Check it out at nerdstomper.com - live coverage, exclusive behind the scenes footage, and live interviews with SC2 and WoW pros. As it's a promotion for the upcoming launch, it's FREE. Supposedly Millies and Pookz will be getting topless for the cameras.
Nerdstomper.com will be launching "really really soon." So far the content looks very promising - the contributors are better than the other sites and because the staff helps a lot on the actual p…  More

Bad news, Australia. Back in June Realz and I detected suspicious activity on the TR with the meteoric and inexplicable rise of TEAM CHRIS THORMAN (team Uck, Seruff and Chris). While they were top 16 contenders for sure their team jumped about 125 rating over two nights to about 2610. This was odd because: TR was camped out until around 5-6am and every high level team had logged off by then and had seen no sign of Uck and his team; after religiously keeping tabs on opponent history I could find no high rated team that had lost to them recently except Unum’s ATC. This obviously wasn’t enough to prove anything but it made us suspicious enough to ask around. Among other high rated teams, Twixz had taken note. …  More

The Last Major LAN of 2010 until BlizzCon

Before I get into talking about the WoW teams and MLG Raleigh, I wanted to share some thoughts on the latest happenings in the arena scene and WOM. There is also a team preview at MLGpro.com

It’s been quite a bit since I’ve last posted on WOM, but rest assured, this blog will contain lists and most of the usual stuff you could expect from me (oh joy!). In the last three weeks since last posting, a lot of opportunities opened up for me and others have clos…  More
