Description:
I did some remastering as you can say of Aeol's bass cover of Jigsaw Falling into Pieces song. It's basically hiss removal, and some other extra things. I actually had a 150meg version of this version, 50meg compressed as a zip file, but i don't think it'd be worth the download just to listen to the uncompressed version(of a compressed recording anyways).

Nice job!! What mastering devices/plugins do you use, and what DAW?

I used my Sound Card basically as the DAW. It's a soundblaster Xi-fi xtreme gamer if you wanted to know. And it has a lot of features that came with the software, and inbuilt into it that help with the remastering of atleast youtube quality stuff. Also i used Audacity to amplify the sound of the Re-recorded original.

Besides the hiss removal, does the quality sound better in any other ways to you?

Dude, that is amazing. Believe it or not I use my crappy webcam's mic to record and I'm too poor, lazy and straight up noob to ever mess with all the hiss and stuff, so this is AWESOME! Thank you so much, I really like the sound.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. I've only been "dabbling" with this stuff recently, and that hiss can be a pain. I was guessing that you were using some sort of mic, but besides the hiss and scratchiness of the vocals/high parts of the backing music, it does a half decent job capturing the bass, though i'm sure it doesn't compare to actually listening to your amp.

If you were interested in tweaking for a clearer sound for your youtube you could  buy an extra lead that goes from the "line-out" of your amp if it has one, into the line-in of your soundcard. You'll just need a little converter from the 6.5mm Stereo plugs to the smaller 3.5mm mini jacks in the back of your computer sound card holes. That way it's a "direct feed" of your music, of course having the backing track may be a bit hard. Unless you already play music through the amp, then this solution is perfect besides the small investment cash wise if you don't have the lead/plugs.

You can still end up with a bit of that hiss though, depending on how good your sound card is, but you'll have to try it to find out.
