I think that its silly to label americans as low IQ, but there is certainly a lot of evidence for a level of ignorance due to environmental causes (lack of travel/bad education/bad media). The difference between the US and EU wow forums just displays this. Reading that thread about europe was just cringeworthy, because so many people (the vast majority) were totally clueless about the world outside their little bubble.

There are uneducated people in every continent. If you want to be fair, you should quantify your statement and say the average WoW forum poster is uneducated.

However, you can also take into account that the United States is 50 states that several are individually larger then countries in the EU. For example Texas alone is larger then Germany etc.

EU you have countries, we have States. We are taught geography in terms of State Capitals etc.

However if you want to measure education in terms of geography go ahead. I personally had a college class which required memorizing every country on a map and being able to label them all and capitals for a final exam. At the time I got a perfect score, right now 10 years later I couldn't tell you half the countries in Africa. You remember information that you have to use on a daily basis...
