Fruity California strikes again. In case she wasn't aware our soldiers are taught to always refer to people as "Sir" or "Ma'am" and its often a habit a lot of members of our armed services use in the civilian world even after they left the military several years ago. They also tend to open doors for women, old people and strangers. And they give up their seats on trains and buses for random people all the time. It's a crazy thing called "respect" "manners" and "civility". But apparently the brainwashed ultra-feminist anti-military left interpret it as right wing sexism and chauvinism. It would be like getting upset over a woman calling a man "Sir".

Hey lady, I'm sure he earned his high ranking military career as well. And he most likley did it while putting his life on the line repeatedly for ingrates like you who were probably stuck in traffic while he was commanding thousands of troops in a foreign country. So maybe you can show HIM some respect and drop your snobby bull**** attitude.

Also, this reflects poorly on the senator, in my opinion. Her comment reminds me of people with PhDs insisting on being referred to as "Dr" instead of Mr, Mrs or Ms. It's an ego trip.

So how does wanting to be called Senator instead of Ma'am make her a feminist? I know plenty of people male and female who prefer to be called Dr. instead of Mr./Ms./etc., it may be a personal thing, but its completely ridiculous to think that any woman who wants to be recognized by such a title is a feminist. Then you say that because he has manners he doesn't use the more respectful and proper title? That's completely backwards. He probably just messed up, which doesn't really matter, its not like he was intentionally doing it. But that doesn't mean that it's crazy for her to correct him.

Also, anyone who thinks this reflects poorly on her as a Senator or her state: LOL@YOU. Way to care about the most completely pointless things. But I guess that's what most people who consider themselves into politics do - discuss the ramifications of ordering mustard instead of ketchup, or debate the meaning of a missing flag pin.
