Why are there no book stores in the ghetto?

There's a ghetto in houston? I mean I don't really know much about south Texas but I always thought Houston was pretty nice.

P.S. There's a lot of book stores where I am but I don't go to them else I rid myself of lots of money.

The same reason there are no pawn shops in my town.

Hahaha... Do you KNOW how big Houston is? There are a lot of nice areas, but also a lot of ghetto areas (especially after the flood of Katrina victims came - and stayed).

Yeah, the reason this question even came up was because yesterday I had to spend some time in the Greenspoint area (lovingly referred to as "Gunspoint" by locals :P) and was looking for something to do. Alas, no book stores.

I could have sworn I saw one the other day. It was a used bookstore though.

Yea the Dallas area has a ton of Katrina victims here too. And I love how the poor (often black) towns have such ironic names. Up here you have Oak Cliff (WELCOME TO OAK CLIFF/**** LIL JOHN) and Pleasant Valley. Lol.

As for the Katrina victims - it's a shame to say this, but it's the truth - they brought our city down a level in class. I mean, our city welcomed these people in with open arms, and then like 2 weeks after the mess began, I see a guy walking down the street wearing one of those t-shirts that looks like a bed sheet it's so huge, and it says **** YA'LL TEXANS on it (yes, he spelled "y'all" wrong, which is a clear indicator he's NOT from Texas :P). Seriously, if you hate us so much, WTF are you doing here?
