I don’t know quite what the allure of Europe is for the American Left. But it seems to be that more of us will soon all be working for the government, habitually striking, hunting out that rare capitalist in hiding for a shake-down, and *****ing over our weary 35 hr. work week.

Entertaining stuff. Quoting from the article:
A Dutch friend once asked me why we Americans work 2-3 jobs. I replied to leave something better for our children than what we inherited. He should have replied: because Corporate America rapes us badly. The income inequality in this joke of a nation is almost as bad as in Mexico, my kids want to go to college, but I can hardly pay my health insurrance. **** my life. So strange (or not so strange, after all?) that the liberal impulse in postwar Europe led to millions living in nearly identical houses and apartments, That's my favorite. ![]() Let's guess what's USA and what's Germany. driving the same sort of cars, That are also bought by Americans, unlike American cars that don't sell in Europe. thinking about the same (their parties are like the feuds and squabbles among the Democratic Party here at home) Last I checked we have 5 parties in our chambers, ranging from classic liberal over conservative over treehuggers to socialist. |
