For those of you who played during Burning Crusade you likely remember people complaining about the changes they've made. In fact whenever a significant change is made in online games people have gripes with it. When BC came along people shouted in protest of slimming raids down to 25 from 40, they protested server transfers. Burning Crusade changed a lot of things but so much changed in Wrath that for the things everyone complained about in BC I think we actually took them for granted.

The Burning Crusade (and its release patch) promised many things.  It would fix PvP, eliminating one form of honour grind for another easier, more acceptable one.  You would no longer have to utterly dedicate three months to farming Battlegrounds to get GM/HWL weaponry.  It would introduce Arenas, carefully balanced matches where the individual skill of players would shine, rather than gear and numbers.  Arena teams would eliminate the 'PuG syndrome' many felt in Battlegrounds.  Arena Rating would introduce a PvP ladder for people to crow about.…  More
