I saw this and couldn't help but laugh my ass off. The slogan is not only priceless but the image just has that happy go lucky feel to it (note the woman on the end receiving a watery blast)

Sony is offering up something for you Blu-Ray fans out there. While some companies are offering up standalone players that will be under $300 next quarter, Sony has offered up a desktop PC BD-Rom drive so that you can start to watch all your favorite Blu-Rays.
That's right, I said BD-ROM, no writing gigantic backups just yet. However, priced at $199, one can't really complain. These babies will hit the market next month, but you can pre-order them here.
It seems this is the year for solid state hard drives. Those of you not familiar with these I will give you a quick recap. Solid state hard drives are flash based, think USB thumb drives, memory cards, Ipods, that are blazing fast and have no moving parts. Only problem? Yoggie Security Systems press release touts the company as the world's first hardware based computer security solution. How does it work? Instead of running firewalls and anti-virus programs on your computers the company uses a USB thumb drive with a mini computer installed on it. This apparently will block internet threats before they get to your machine, and increasing your machines performance by off loading these tasks to Yoggie's hardware.
One thing that seems to be creeping up everywhere are 3D displays for gaming and even television and video. Companies like Trimon, IZ3D (which we reviewed at FPSLabs), and Samsung are displaying this technology as the next step in video interaction. But is it? Sometimes you can find odds and ends stuff around the smaller venues that you may easily skip past as they don't have gaudy and expansive displays. We went by TN Games today where they were featuring the 3rd Space Vest. A gaming vest? What the heck right? It was a bit odd at first to get used to but the basic premise is a vest using air compression to impact your body in 4 locations in the front and or the back in relation to where you are hit in game.
We showed you a new style of keyboard yesterday from Belkin and today we visited the Zalman booth and something immediately caught our eye, the FPS Gun. While Zalman is notorious for normal hardware like fans and coolers this was a interesting change of pace for them creating a periphrial. The gun acts like a mouse in the sense that it has a optical sensor and tracks on your desk/mouse pad/etc. However as you can see it also looks kind of like a joystick. I have to say that I wholeheartedly agree with most, if not all of what Adam said. Quite frankly, Vegas is a double edge sword of glitz and glam masking what is a pretty depressing underbelly. Everything costs an exorbitant amount of money and moving from one place to the next can cost even more.

HP is running a massive booth this year that featured their Blackbird PCs which of course were featured in the machinma contest right here at Gameriot. Sony's OLED display first caught my eye on CNN in the airport on our way out to Las Vegas. I was disappointed not being able to see it yesterday but we pulled through and made it out to the Sony display today. Jaw dropping; that is the easiest way to relate this product without seeing it in person. Check out pictures we took right here and here. The colors, the black levels, were phenomenal. saw what is close to the perfect implementation of that tech. From
music to interactive restaurant systems that were truly impressive, the interconnectivity was outstanding between so many different devices
