It came down to the wire in the CEVO-P Source Finals when the Dallas Venom and San Francisco Optx played to a tie through three maps and needed one Overtime round to decide it all.

When the round was over, the Venom disconnected as the winners of CEVO-P and $5,000 richer.

The Finals was a Best-of-Three format, with the maps being Dust2, Inferno, and Nuke. Dust2 and Inferno proved to be lopsided for each team, as Dallas took a 1-0 series lead behind a 10-3 victory.

The Dallas Venom eliminated Team Pandemic from the CEVO-P Playoffs and move on to face the San Francisco Optx in the CEVO-P Finals.

Corey "kaM" Hanes came up big for the Venom in both halves, picking up key entry kills as a CT to help Dallas to an 8-1 lead after the first half. He was 13-2 after five rounds and finished 19-5, including two defuses.

The CGS finally announced their online qualifiers for the Region 1 Combine in Austin. And if you've been waiting for this announcement and the competition, don't blink. The registration ends tomorrow, and the action starts on Monday at 8pm Eastern time.

The Championship Gaming Series has announced its official games lineup for the 2008 season.

For PC, Vavle's Counter-Strike: Source will return as the league's team FPS title, while EA Sports' FIFA 08 will be used as an update to last season's use of FIFA 07.
