Today in the ESL GameZone held at GamesCom, the world heavyweight boxing champion Wladimir Klitschko opened the Intel Extreme Masters Season 4. During his interview he mentioned that electronic sports is "Very similar to boxing" and went on to say "I am very impressed by the setup and the competition of Intel Extreme Masters as a whole" during the opening ceremony. Omg I'm writing a blog.

As the title suggest, over at ESL we've decided to run an ESL TV Invitational Cup. We're inviting 16 of the best teams in Europe. The groups will be double elimination brackets, and each game will be broadcast on WoW Wednesdays live on ESL TV. The first group commences on May 20th at 22:00 CET. The winner from each week of group stages will proceed to the 5th and final week, where one team will become the winner of the first ever ESL TV invitational cup. Horrah!
