I was privileged enough to observe a practice match between czm and rapha preparing for the upcoming ESWC Masters Q3 event last night.

A few tournaments have concluded in the past few weeks and some of the older players have been polishing up their games with ESWC Masters of Paris less than 10 days away.

I've seen plenty of games and present an updated odds list.  These are the players with the best odds of WINNING the ESWC Q3 event, not necessarily an order of finish.

I had a good talk with the infamous Q3 player Walter this past week.  For those of you unfamiliar with him, he has been -- and still is -- the topic of hot debate in the Q3 community in regards to his use of cheats online.  There is currently a poll on community hotspot ESReality (www.esreality.com) asking who the least favorite person on ESR is, and Walter was leading with 16% of the vote last time I checked.

News broke recently about Quake 3 dueler and reigning 1v1 champion czm officially joining up with Team EG (www.myeg.ca) for the upcoming slate of Q3 tournaments this summer.  He spoke briefly with SK-Gaming (www.sk-gaming.com) of his intentions to get in 30 hours of practice time by the ESWC Masters of Paris event taking place from July 4-6.  It would appear that he is jumping right into his practice regimen.

Just some preliminary betting odds on the winner of the ESWC Masters of Paris Quake III event taking place next month July 4-6 in Paris, France.  These odds are based mostly on past performance.  Just because one player has seemingly longer odds does not mean that they cannot defeat players with better odds.  It's just an educated guess on who has enough to win it all based on past experience.  These will change as we see who is taking things most seriously leading up to the event.…  More

Lately, I've been getting back into Quake 4, watching some CTF games and playing relaxed duels with friends, and I've been hearing murmers of a new mod for the game that may give everyone what they've so desperately needed from the game.

So it’s been almost 2 days since I went and saw FRAG, but it took me until now to get my impressions up. First off I was surprised by the attendance numbers of the film. I would guess 75-100 people were there, and only about 1/4 of them were really what I could tell were "traditional" fans versus random movie goers. Conversation overhead before the movie:

The Global Gaming League (GGL) is back again with their Players of the Year list. The list is voted on by the gaming press and includes the best players from Counter-Strike 1.6, WarCraft 3, and Quake 4.
