Video Link: http://ch.gomtv.com/407/26729/329238/4Requires Internet Explorer and installaton of GOMTV plug-in, and yes you have to sit through some Korean ads as well, well worth the effort however! Keep in mind the format is a mix of 1v1/3v3. You can go to the 47 minute mark to skip intros. The red hot Button Bashers aka HON, fresh off their super impressive MLG Anaheim victory fought fellow Koreans at GOMTV season 3 finals. Unfortunately for them, they ran into a very unique team of protecti… More

First of all, a sincere apology to all WOM readers about the 0.5 female blogger idea. Tosan, a popular movie producer (he made some amazing Naruto-style edits and plays multiple classes) gave me the idea of producing video blogs featuring arena footages of various classes and more importantly, his sister who also plays at a pretty high level. The idea was to have his sister do the voice commentaries for his video blogs, and maintain a real presence in his weekly article, hence the 0.5 female blogger concept. … More

Done With "Trying To Be Korean" Not permanently... yet, but the game (Aion) has taken its toll on many a gamer. Although I initially found it surprising that almost the entirety of Voodoo participated in a mass exodus from Aion with numerous account sales, I can pretty much see where they're coming from lately. Although there are some really fun aspects to the game (primarily cosmetic aspects), there are also numerous problems that keep the game from ever becoming anything resembling a "WoW kille… More

I pleasantly enjoyed this weekend with the absolutely amazing WCG stream. High quality for free is pretty nice and don't get me started on the major e-sports games finals. WC3, SC & CS grand finals easily made me feel like I'm watching the Olympic 100m men final race. It's sad that they had to stop the CS stream but we have to understand that RTS is just on a completely different level for Asians (may I add, rightfully so) and nobody could anticipate that the first map would go into not less… More

A week has passed since MLG Anaheim... but this is the first time I have written since then so you guys get to hear some of my thoughts on it all. First off I'd like to say that I think the field of teams at the event was very strong as you had arguably the best team from both Europe and Korea as well as a very strong field of North American teams. Knowing that going into the event you had to expect every single match to be very hard, and know that anything could happen, and anytime could win.… More

Time for a Yiska blog. I've been busy lately and after that weekend I felt I really needed a break from writing for a while since I worked the whole weekend. So much is going to change in my life and for Eurospective that I'm excited, yet afraid. I'll be trusting my gut over my brain this time around and it could end up royally ****ting all over my future. One thing is certain, I wasn't happy 6 months ago and I'm not entirely happy now even though it's way better. Great opportunities have opened for me and I will have to make sacrifices.… More

Gordon had a post up yesterday that asked whether modern day MMO players were lazy or if it just seemed that way since games are more accessible these days. I felt compelled to respond, which I did in the comments section, but I think that the topic of my response bears a little more hashing out. In my opinion, MMO players aren’t so much lazy as they are entitled. Entitlement, really, has its core in accessibility. After all, if some new game didn’t come along and set a precedent for, let’s s… More

Still not one word from Serennia-sama. This weekend will see the debut of not just one, but one-and-a-half girls! Why 1.5? You will find out!The back of his head still hurt from that ugly 0-5 loss to SK-EU on opening night. It was so sudden, so unexpected, like walking through the quint village of Bronxville and suddenly some big black Tauren from South Bronx skipped multiple borders and hit you with a baseball bat. It was not supposed to happen with rogue hero Reckful leading the team, the… More

Arena Class Focus: Mage This article will mostly be focusing on RMP, but a lot of the tips here can be applied to the mage class as a whole. Mages are a very unique class in that they can control the game and win or lose the match for their team at almost any given moment in the game. This is especially true in RMP, where a clutch CS or fake can decide the outcome of the game. So without any further introduction, lets begin. Setting Yourself Up for Success:… More

I have a confession. Of late, I've had a crazy desire to log back in to World of Warcraft. Nevermind the fact that I just cancelled my subscriptions to two other games and can't really afford it. I've caught myself thinking of the early days of play, when the universe seemed to slip over me like a long lost glove. I never put the game above real life but I can say that I worked it into my real life. When I wasn't playing, I'd read WoW.com instead of my ever growing pile of books. My friends and … More

It's been a long weekend. I just woke up from 14 hours of sleep as I wasn't able to sleep more than about 3-4 hours a night. But it's been great fun and an amazing experience for me. Syeren did a great job on Saturday and sadly he was busy on Sunday and I couldn't find a replacement fast enough. Doing it myself was nowhere near possible with the articles I wrote for Gotfrag. If you want to reread them to relive the emotions you had you can check them out here. And yes for some of us it was emotional. You can call me idiot for that if you want, it's no biggie. We were sitting with so many different pro players on Syeren's vent and even some of them were cheering if either SK.EU won a round or Check Six lost one. I still love you Twixz; he's a great guy. … More

An apology on missing the last a few games of the BB vs SK-EU grand finals. I waited and waited but I simply had to go escort my father-in-law back to his hotel to catch an early morning flight. Estel watched the matches and told me exactly what happened, and I am glad the best team won. Serennia-sama was supposed to take over bracket play, but I got this message at 6PM: I have an excrutiatingly painful toothe ache, had to call a doctor and im leaving soon for it i think... hurts so bad its unr… More

MLG Anaheim from the World of Warcraft side was incredibly misleading. For the most part, we were drowned in a sea of matches that ultimately came down to either one of two things: are Button Bashers playing or did x6 just roll someone? The x6 versus BB during the round robin play was incredibly exciting and personally, I was on the edge of my chair with my nose damn near in the computer screen trying to see who would pull out the win. The event seemed to have everything you’d wa… More
