Lately I have been wondering where to invest my spare time; my love for MMOs and online games is still strong, but I might be suffering from "mmo fatigue". As my friends wait impatiently for the release of Aion and after various conversations of how the game will bring real "pvp" to the MMO scene a lá Dark Age of Camelot; my interest for the game keeps diminishing. Don't get me wrong, the game is beautiful and the gameplay is solid (I am sure many people will enjoy Aion for the gameplay or no… More |

Anyhow Funcom is down one CFO as head honcho, not to be confused with Mike Honcho, Olav Sandnes resigned from his position in the company. Last year saw the resignation of the game's director as well which pretty much mean the title is a complete failure. Funcom saw a 23.3 million dollars loss for the fourth quarter and 33.8 million for the year. Accordi… More

Hey everyone it's another round of WoWfanboys Vs. AoC. This is a going to be a rather long article (so if you can't read long posts stop reading) because I'm doing an in-depth analysis of AoC's combat. If you play AoC you will not find this interesting because you should already know everything about the combat or if you're a noob you will. I know people that have never played AoC's revolutionary combat are going to knock it as "dumb DDR combat" because they are not open f… More

This is a continuation of a previous post found HERE. *Warning skip this part if you don't want to read me making fun of WoW* Once again no matter what justice I use to support my claims, most of you WoW kiddies are still too blinded by your intense dedication that you will try to flame me. Too bad I have tough skin and merely laugh at your pitiful attempts to defend your livelihood no matter how bad WoW gets and continues to ge… More

These articles are going to be giving a run-down of today's MMOs (WoW, Warhammer, and AoC) and the Pros and Cons of each from my experiences. I will only be discussing the PvP aspects of each so don't expect any PvE garbage. This post I will be talking about AoC. AoC The Conan PvP based mature rated MMO with blood, fatalities, and tits. Pros Great combat You have to aim each attack and connect or get a damage reduction on combos, no auto attack, double tap evading, s… More

From a high of $55.50 in June, Funcom's stock is now down to $5.32. For the math challenged that is 9.5% of what it was shortly after Age of Conan's release. It should come at no surprise when the game's manager left Funcom and then last week they noted they were going to "change direction" and become more player centric. The latest news on the most recent MMO to tank comes from the AoC forums. Game director Craig Morrison told users that "we are actively working on an approach to merg… More

![]() *Update* Valve has come out and shot down this rumor. Whether that is just a PR move or legit, we don't know. Generally Valve is pretty straightforward however. Last month Valve talked about the potential of being bought out by another company and that they were open to the idea. Rumor f… More
