Verdak is the cross between that chick in your old H.S. that slept with random dudes in the (flawed) hopes of finding security, and the overweight aspiring band geek that slept with the drum major believing it would increase her odds of making the band.

In both cases it's just dumb chicks whoring it up as a last ditch effort of gaining some semblance of acceptance.

It never works out, they're labeled a *****, and eventually end up with the alcoholic ex-jock or as a cat lady. However, the ironic twist of fate is that in Verdak's case she's swung full circle and actually gained infamy thanks to being a dumb ho.

So in the end Verdak got what she wanted: e-fame. I'd personally rather be unknown than known far and wide for being an illiterate, unattractive, overweight, uninspired, meandering, and last but not least a slutty blogger that is writing material so off-topic (and by off-topic I mean borderline psychotic) from their target audience that they might as well be preaching Scientology to Muslims.

I see your lol, and raise you one ROFL.

Since professional sports apparently aren't deeply rooted in balance and high skill caps now a days, eh, Ming? Name one mainstream, profitable, legal sport that lacks balance and a very high skill cap and then maybe what you're saying will have a shred of support.

I'm sure you'd be an awesome advocate for the "professional" RPS leagues around the globe. You're just so damn persuasive and logical!

Blah.

If you're really trying to be an advocate for WoW being a legit e-sport the least you could do is make sound argument, suggestion, or anything other than making yourself sound like an ass.

WoW is its own competition. The only thing that will harm their franchise is solely Blizzards choice to abandon it. Regardless of how stupendous another MMO might be, it still won't be enough to hurt the games subscription base beyond repair.

Reason being that people are just far too attached to the game. Starting over is a pain for most people, especially when they weigh their time invested in WoW (as well as money, & some hopes for improvement) vs. the potential enjoyment of a new game.

Even having a one million user subscription base is a "successful" MMO, let alone ten times that. If WoW EVER drops below even three million subscribers it will be due to a new Blizzard release, or another decade has gone by from now.

Like it or not WoW is king until they abdicate their throne. You have no solid reasoning to say otherwise.

Balance: High. Everyone does the same damage, everyone has the same tools, everyone has the same possible spawn points. The only randomness is the spawns which can be abused, but that goes both ways so once again it's balanced in that regard.

Skill cap: I say high but that's arguable. The reason I say it's high is because it's a team game. In order to be "pro" at it you need a pro team. If you were to compare it to the NFL it would be like throwing together 11 guys on offense that are talented, but providing no plays or coordination whatsoever. Sure, they might do well every so often due to being skilled individuals, but what it takes to be truly pro is coordination to actually steer that talent in the right direction.

The skill cap for professional teams in Halo 3 is in fact quite high. Having the individual skill AND team skills is hard to come by. It's no different than the coordination needed in some comps within WoW.

How about the fact that both kill streaks and death streaks are absolutely retarded? One actually rewards people that are owning face, and is also an incentive for camping to hell. While the other hands terrible players a way to get cheap kills that they A.) Don't deserve, and/or B.) Would never have gotten otherwise.

The CoD franchise, like WoW, just appeals to the average gamer. How? By tossing out bull**** gimmicks (kill/death streaks, kill cams, prestige, weapon unlocks, etc.) to keep your run of the mill clown enthralled for countless hours on end.

Balance? Who gives a ****, as long as they move units, right?

I mean if these companies are going to keep making terribad casual ass games at the very least they need to make fun, balanced, and most importantly competitive playlists to appeal to the ever shrinking minority of hardcore players. MW2's take on "hardcore" is the assbackwards way of going about it.
