Everyone who complains about the titles given to server firsters are whiners... it's a cosmetic achievement. Kids need to suck it up. I've never gotten a server first, and most people who get server firsts are losers, that's a given, but so are half the people who play this game. It's really not a big deal.
Let me elaborate.
There are titles for casuals. See: of the shattered sun, challenger
There are titles for skilled (casual or not) players and/or bad hardcore rogues with glaives and 4/4. See: gladiator, brutal gladiator.
There are titles for hardcore, semi-skilled players with insomnia, that is, raiders. See: hand of a'dal, whatever title you get from killing arthas.
There are titles for being hardcore in vanilla wow. See: high warlord, grand marshal, scarab lord.
Now there are titles for hardcore players who don't pvp or raid. See: the list of titles in this blog.
Now, the subject of contention here is really "do titles matter at all?" The answer is no. They are cosmetic. I personally keep my blood guard title turned off, and I also keep my helm and cloak turned off. See how they are related? They both don't affect gameplay in any way (except maybe for scaring the **** out of scrubs in the 1500s when your remake your full glad RMP, lol).
The point of my comment is this: there are titles for every type of player, and none of them matter. At all. Period. People who take getting titles seriously should reroll on RP servers.
