With all the information coming out about 2.3, I think what people are
failing to realize is that none of it seems to fix the major problem
that was facing WoW. The rock, paper, scissors aspect of it. There's
hard counters in the game and it seems like they'll still continue to
exist in 2.3 It was most prevelant in 2s, and 3s, but when it spilled
into 5s it killed it.
Blizzard seems to throw out all these gimmicks to make people forget
about the real problems facing the game. NEW HAIRSTYLES AND DANCES.
Arena Season 2 was an utter disaster. People will come back for season
3, but I really think it'll be much of the same and people will grow
tired of it again. They aren't doing enough to bolster pvp.

The tournament was a last minute thrown together Dell commercial. Third place was $1000 divided by four players. You could have just brought in people off the street and it would have made it more interesting to watch. I just don't think half the teams even took it seriously or even sent their best teams. In your last blog you said the counter comps, and character switching would make these interesting to watch and that would be where the skill was in WoW. When it fact it's the exact opposite, you have players playing classes they're terrible at just so they can run a counter comp and it makes for horrible viewing. Alot of these teams are still milking sucess from season 1, didn't most of em quit WoW when WSVG went down the tubes, only to come back for Dreamhack. There's no doubt there should be new tourneys with new qualifiers because the game has changed alot since season 1.
