rumors have been kicked out that a re-release of this may lead to MvC3 but it is all just rumor at this point with no confirmation out of Marvel or Capcom. The fact that they are working together again on the licensing front may be a good sign.

I'm glad to see they're taking advantage of modern day graphic potential.
At least Street Fighter made the transition to 3D a decade after the rest of the class.

lol, this is what i was thinking. when i heard about this game i pictured something similar to SF4, but with x-mans.

The fighting scene still to this day generally prefers 2D. Why do you think SF4 is 2D (2.5)? Because that is what everyone wants. If they tweaked with a classic too much everyone would ***** and no one would buy it. If Capcom had SSF2THDR in 3D, people would have been pissed.
Maybe MvC3, but you don't mess with a classic.

meh, imo SF4 is 3D enough. MvC could have at least matched that.
